I am outraged by the way the children are treated. Labeled as witches by Evangelical pastors to extort money from their parents. Starved, tortured, abandoned and even killed because their parents are afraid. Something needs to be done about this. This needs to stop! PLEASE CONSIDER SIGNING THE PETITIONS FOR THE CHILDREN.

Children in Ghana will benefit from a free medical care to be provided by the country's public health facilities. The exercise is part of activities lined up by the Ghana Health Service to mark this year's Maternal and Child Health Campaign. It would be a-three-day exercise for children under five.
The Western Regional Director of Health Services, Dr. Linda Vanotoo said services that would be rendered to the children within the period are immunization against the killer diseases, de-worming, provision of treated mosquito nets and weighing.
This year's celebration which is on the theme:"Healthy Mothers and Children Make a Better Ghana" calls on the media to assist the Service in its campaign efforts on child and maternal health issues.
Statistics indicate that maternal and child mortality remain high in Ghana with the West African country ranking 42nd globally.
Dr. Vanotoo said about 80,000 children under five die each year in the country mostly from preventable causes. She called on women to visit the ante-natal clinics as soon as they learn that they are pregnant to ensure healthy pregnancy and delivery.
